Skydiving, Parachuting, or skyjumping is a sport where we jump and fall from aircraft high above. It may involve a free-fall, a time during which the parachute has not been deployed. During the free fall, we will perform various maneuvers before pulling the parachute. At a certain altitude, the parachute is deployed and then we are falling gently and landing to the Earth below. Tandem Skydiving is the most popular for first jumper. Our body are attached to the front of professional instructor’s harness for the entire skydive and parachute ride.
This was my first skydiving experience in Cedartown, an hour drive from Atlanta, Georgia, USA organized by Skydive Georgia. I fell at speeds of 120mph, from 14,000 feet in the air. This package includes up to 70 seconds of free fall followed by a canopy ride that lasts anywhere from 7 to 9 minutes. All pictures and video were taken by Leslie, Skydive Georgia’s photographer
