Brief Information

The beluga whale or white whale (Delphinapterus leucas) is an Arctic and sub-Arctic cetacean. At a glance, they look like a giant dolphin. Beluga has excellent hearing and they’re so vocal. People call them “Sea Canaries”. They communicate with chirps, clucks, squeals, squeaks, and trills. They send out sounds, those sound bounce off objects in the water making an echo and returning signal back to Beluga Whale. Beluga is also commonly called as “Melonhead” due to its head shaped like a melon.
